Something Old, Something New

Intermix hosted “Something Old, Something New” clothing drive to benefit the Junior Council of Safe Horizon, the nation's leading victim assistance organization and the efforts of Safe Horizon's Streetwork Program, that serves the homeless and street involved young adults on Wednesday night, September 25th.

The evening's hostess Leesa Kleiger and Junior Council members John Ordway, Blair Morris, Joanna Kornfeld, Gaurav Sharma, Sara Pollack, and Ashley Musfeldt asked that guests bring in gently worn warm clothing for people less fortunate. In turn, those donating received 15 percent off of all clothing and accessories purchased at Intermix that evening.

Among those trading something old for something new included Safe Horizon's Chief Development Officer Maile Zambuto and Director of Special Events Cate Edmonds, Allison Weiss Brady, Melicia Ming, Alison Minton , Kathleen Giordano, Daphne Kornfeld, Mayi Goss, Anthony Milano, Danielle Senatore, Sarah Beam, Nancy Havlicek, Gabby Bazen, Janelle Manzi, Jennifer Lattif, Elisa Benson, Kimmie Aze, McKenzie Kleiger, Lindsy Lebby, Nichole Moss, and Sarah Garonzik. As guests shopped they treated themselves to Folonari Pink Pinot Grigio and Godiva chocolates.

Safe Horizon, the nation's leading victim assistance organization created the Junior Council to help raise critically needed funds and awareness among a younger target audience. By raising funds and educating the young public, the Junior Council will help Safe Horizon to provide support, prevent violence and promote justice for victims of crime and abuse, their families and communities.
