Beautiful garden of life

Friday, October 17, 2014. Warm and often cloudy day after a rainy night, yesterday in New York, with temps in the high 60s, low 70s. When I took the dogs out this morning along the Promenade I noticed for the first time some autumn changes in Carl Schurz Park.

They’re almost subtle, but I took pictures of some of them, including my shot of the flowers which seemed to blend in with its surroundings.

Many activities were going on in New York last night,
I would have had to be four individuals to take it all in. Would that I were, because they all sounded interesting and possibly (you always take your chances) very good. First of all on my calendar was the Annual Preview Party for the International Fine Art and Antique Dealers Show at the Park Avenue Armory to benefit the Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

This is an annual event for a good cause and always a great show. For those in New York this weekend, it’s a great way to spend a few hours on Saturday or Sunday. You can get something to eat in between there too. I was there and took some pictures (along wih Annie Watt).
