Star Studded!

Last Thursday night, New York’s young philanthropists gathered at The American Museum of Natural History for its 2014 Museum Dance, “Star Studded!”

As New York City’s longest-running junior benefit, the Museum Dance brings together influential young philanthropists to celebrate and raise essential funds for the Museum’s scientific and educational programs, which enable thousands of underserved New York City school children to visit the Museum annually. The theme of the evening was “Star Studded!,” in honor of the Museum’s new Space Show, Dark Universe, narrated by the Frederick P. Rose Director of the Hayden Planetarium Neil deGrasse Tyson.

The event began with an intimate dinner followed by an after-party for all with Music by JUS SKE. All funds raised from the event benefit the Museum's scientific and educational programming. Men wore black tie; women dressed to sparkle and shine.

Chairmen included Kristen Edgreen Kaufman and Michael Kaufman, Elizabeth Kurpis and Jonathan A. Kurpis, Alexandra and Gregory Kwiat, Nina and Mike Patterson, and Colleen and Kipp deVeer. The event was generously sponsored by Kwiat.

Guests included Jemima Kirke, Noreen and Ahmar Ahmad, Annika Connor, Martin Dawson, Eric M. Javits, Jr. and Di Mondo, Lauren and Brian Frank, Jenny and Jay Galluzzo, Tantivy Gubelmann, Melissa and Carney Hawks, Anne Huntington, Dana Wallach and Michael Jones, Harry and Jill Kargman, Arielle and Russell Kwiat, Melanie Lazenby, Alexandra Milstein, Alison Minton, Victoria and Jon Patricof, Barbara Regna, Zibby and Andrew Right, Morgan and David Shara, Lacary Sharpe, Ed Smith, Alexandra Steel, and Monica and Peter Tessler.
