Fete de Swifty Part II

The 3rd Annual Fete de Swifty, a kernel of an idea of Liz Smith's only three years ago, was the most successful ever. There were hundreds of guests filling the tent covering the block of 73rd Street between Third and Lexington avenues enjoying the camaraderie, the great buffet and bars.

At the end of the night they took in a record grand total of more than $730,000 for the Family Justice Initiative of the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City. Mayor Bloomberg who appeared and stayed for more than an hour to mingle with the guests said that of all the great things Liz Smith has done for the city (and for her many friends), this was an extraordinary accomplishment for the people of New York. Vive La Liz!
