Also this past Monday, The Senior Associates Committee of The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) hosted its 2009 Spring Lunch at The Oak Room in the Plaza. Sponsored by John Hardy, more than 100 guests attended including special guest, Guy Bedarida, Creative Director for John Hardy. John Hardy displayed unique one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces for guests to try on and purchase.

The luncheon honored Dr. Jane A. Bowling, Director of Social Work at MSKCCand recognized the Senior Associates Committee for their incredible dedication to The Society’s mission of funding programs to help improve the quality of life for patients at the cancer center.

Proceeds from the 2009 Spring Lunch kicked off a campaign for the Associates Committee to begin a special Pediatric Family Housing Endowment. This new fund will pay for overnight accommodation at a nearby hotel for families of pediatric patients undergoing treatment at MSKCC who are unable to afford this expense themselves.
