AMNH Spring Environmental Lecture and Luncheon

On Thursday, April 21, 2010, the American Museum of Natural History held its 20th Annual Spring Environmental Lecture and Luncheon: Green Design for the Urban Home at the Museum. Suzanne H. Cochran, Katheryn P. Kempner, Catherine B. Sidamon-Eristoff, Mary C. Solomon, and Constance Spahn were the event chairmen.

This year's panel discussion was led by moderator Lynn Sherr andfocused on environmentally sound choices and practices for the urban home in addition to providing information on sustainable products and on how to be “green in the city.” The panel featured a selection of green-design experts who will address topics ranging from home construction and organization to interior design. The panelists included Rob Watson, chairman, CEO, and chief scientist of EcoTech International; Joshua Wiener is CEO and founder of Silverlining Interiors Inc. and Robin Wilson, a nationally recognized eco-friendly and healthy home interior designer.

All proceeds from the Spring Environmental Lecture and Luncheon support the Museum’s scientific research and educational initiatives, including important work in biodiversity conservation.
